I FINALLY got a photo of the window display I did for Island Scrapbooking. Had to take it at night because the glare during the day made it impossible to get a good picture. Anyway, I have no professional experience with window displays so this was a fun challenge. It's the second window I've done...first one I did for the store was Christmas themed. The tissue flowers are an idea I got from Martha Stewart. The images floating above the tissue flowers were stamped, colored, enlarged on a color copier and cut out. Enlarging stamped images is a great way to make table centerpieces, mobiles, wall art, etc. The close-up shows a fun idea my friend Jenny shared. She brought in a candy heart tin and we filled candy cups with dew drops, inks and hibiscus laser cuts. The two girl images are from Hero Arts and the couple is from Your Next Stamp.

New Blooms
I made samples for Island Scrapbooking using the new Hero Arts clear stamp set called Big & Small Flowers. I wouldn't have normally picked up this set, but it's actually a pretty versatile set. Sometimes it's more fun to stamp and paper piece and not have to color.
Supplies:
- Stamps - Hero Arts Big & Small Flowers, Hero Arts Truly Appreciated ("hello")
- DP - Bo Bunny Abby Road Sky
- Cardstock
- Stickles - Crystal
- Rhinestones - Kaiser Craft Mint Square
This is another card using the same Big & Small Flowers set. Again, I chose to paper piece. I tried a color combination a little out of my normal range (teal and red) and I'm happy with the way it came together.
BTW finished the display window at Island Scrapbooking this weekend but haven't been able to get a good photo due to the way the sun hits the glass. I'll try again tomorrow so stay tuned!
Supplies:
- Stamps - Hero Arts Big & Small Flowers, Hero Arts Truly Appreciated
- Embossing Folder - Cuttlebug Birds & Swirls
- Stickles - Crystal
- DP - I thinks it's a Doodlebug red/white polka dot
- Cardstock

Happy Birthday Susie
My friend Susie's birthday was on the 5th and this is the birthday card I made for her. I love coloring this Birthday Sophia image from Paper Pretties. The expression on her face cracks me up. Had this In Bloom paper pack from PTI for awhile and finally got a chance to use it. Used the largest Spellbinders Label One for the image so I had to free hand the brown layer behind it. I often wish Spellbinders made two sizes larger in their Nestabillities sets. Do you ever feel the same way?
Hope you're all having a nice weekend. I'll be working on the window display for Island Scrapbooking this afternoon. I'll let you know how it goes.
Supplies:
- Stamps - Paper Pretties Birthday Sophia set
- DP - PTI In Bloom
- Copics
- Punches - Stampin' Up Scallop Oval, Modern Label, Word Window
- Flock - White
- Stickles - Crystal
- Cardstock - Bazzil
- Flowers - Doodlebug Paper Posies Limeade
- Ribbon

Chandelier & Oceans of Joy
I've always wanted a house with a formal dining room where I could hang a beautiful chandelier. Maybe someday. In the meantime, I had fun playing with this new stamp from Hero Arts. It was a challenge to take a photo of this card without getting a reflection in the gold foil cardstock. Can you see me at the bottom of the card?
Supplies:
- Stamps - Hero Arts Chandelier, Thank You from Hero Arts Message Bubbles
- Designer Paper - Bo Bunny Flutter Butter Willow
- Cardstock - Bazzil, gold foil
- Embossing Powder - Gold
- Rhinestones
This card was fun to make and color. I wanted to use every stamp in this new set, but couldn't fit them all. You can't really tell from this photo but the first layer of ocean is popped up to give the card a little dimension.
Supplies:
- Stamps - Hero Arts Oceans of Joy, Thank You from Hero Arts Message Bubbles
- Designer Paper - Best Creation Bubbles
- Cardstock - Bazzil
- Copics
- Stickles - Crystal
- Fiskars - Wave punch

My First Post
I finally took the plunge and started this blog after months of thinking about it. I've always loved crafting and got back into card making about a year ago. I'm inspired daily by the many blogs I look at and I'm always amazed at the incredible talent and creativity that's out there. I hope you enjoy the projects I have to share and thanks for stopping by.
This card features the absolutely adorable Create in Me stamps and I couldn't resist this bunny and tea cup. It was fun to color with my Copics and I used the new Stampin' Up Specialty Designer paper.
