It's always a challenge to make a card for any guy and this was no exception. The designs just don't come naturally for me. But here's a money holder I created for my friend's son using PTI's "for the graduate" set. I don't use this set often, but it's a nice one to have when the occasion calls for it.
I needed a sympathy card and here's what I came up with while my little guy was taking a nap yesterday. I started with SU's melon mambo ink and when I decided to add a couple more sprigs, I accidentally grabbed SU's regal rose. The mistake actually made it better - so funny how that happens.
Also trying to get better about decorating the inside of my cards so here's my attempt at this one.
Lawn Fawn just came out with a Critters on the Farm stamp set and I grabbed one as soon as it came in. Thought the animals were really cute and I couldn't wait to ink them up. I put together this diorama card and love the "3D-ness" of it. I recently taught a class on this card and realized how fun they are to make.
I contributed to a craft fair last weekend and made some money holders. I thought they might be a good idea for graduations, birthdays, etc. The ones I made sold out but I think I'll make more to have on hand.
This is my Mother's Day card design for this year. It has PTI written all over it and I couldn't be happier with their stamps and dies. I wanted to create some kind of bouquet of flowers and this is what transpired.
We will miss the big Mother's Day family gathering on Oahu, but I'm looking forward to brunch at Kilauea Lodge with my husband and son. To all the moms out there - hope you have a special Mother's Day!
Just felt like a Lawn Fawn kind of day so I reached for this cute dog and cat stamp and created this thank you card. Used one of my favorite October Afternoon papers, paired it with a doily and stamped a Hero Arts sentiment.....and viola!
This little candy holder/card has quickly become a staple in my arsenal of treat boxes. I made a handful for Boy's Day and used a couple of Dandelion Design's cute images.
Looking forward to celebrating with my son and taking him out for some shave ice!
Graduation is coming up so I made these graduation gift card holders using SU's cute owl punch. I gave the owl some wings by using a scalloped circle punch and I added a graduation cap in celebration of the occasion. I got a bit carried away and did 3 different versions. It was fun to play with different paper combinations and I love this owl punch!
